KIN Supervisor | Kinesiologist and Aquatic Therapist

Carlee Sturrock

Carlee is a certified and practicing Kinesiologist. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).

As a Kinesiologist, Carlee is particularly interested in active rehabilitation including aquatic therapy and fitness programs. She enjoys sharing her knowledge and training with her clients and takes pride in their empowerment.

Her expertise and strong communication skills make her an excellent supervisor at Sahara Rehab to all the Kinesiologists. She provides support in all active rehabilitation programs as needed. More importantly, Carlee’s caring mannerism makes her a highly valuable member of a clients’ road to recovery.

When not working with clients, Carlee enjoys hiking, yoga, swimming, and dance.


JaewonKIN

Kinesiologist

Jaewon Suh

Jaewon received his Kinesiology degree in 2011’ from Simon Fraser University. Prior to pursuing his Kinesiology degree, he volunteered as a medical assistant in hospitals overseas working with patients with leprosy. After graduation, he recognized his need to cast his passions for helping people through community-based active rehab.

Through active rehab, he upholds his belief that ‘exercise is medicine’. He is particularly interested in active rehabilitation including postural training, aqua-therapy, and manual therapy such as myofascial release. With his cross-cultural experience and his ability to easily relate to clients from all walks of life, he is able to design and engage clients to follow a graded exercise program while working towards recovery.

Jaewon is fluent in Korean. During his spare time, Jaewon enjoys fitness, dance, and learning martial arts.

Kinesiologist

Ka Cheng 'Belle' Lao

Belle has been a part of the Sahara Rehab team as a practicing Kinesiologist since 2015. She graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).

Belle is excited about helping her clients to reach their personal rehabilitation goals and provides support to help them live a healthier life through exercise. As a Kinesiologist and a Certified Personal Trainer, she is creative in her exercise approaches and always aiming to provide a “just right challenge” to her clients.

She is fluent in Cantonese and conversational Mandarin.

During her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, watching movies, and taking landscape and food photography


JeffreyLeeKinesiologist

Kinesiologist and Rehabilitation Assistant

Jeffrey Lee

Jeffrey graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, specializing in active health and rehabilitation. He currently is a member of good standing with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) with certification in health and fitness studies.

Upon graduation, Jeff began working as a rehabilitation assistant and community support worker which allowed him to gain invaluable experience working with people with brain injury. He has a passion for further pursuing an active and healthy lifestyle while knowing the risk and limitation of injury. His positive energy and goal-oriented attitude allow him to positively influence his clients to follow a well-graded exercise program.

Outside of work, Jeff is an avid badminton player and enjoys hiking, swimming, cooking, and photography.

In addition to English, Jeffrey is fluent in Mandarin.

Kinesiologist and Rehabilitation Assistant

Jasdeep Gill

Jas graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. She also has a Diploma in Sports Science from Douglas College, where she played varsity soccer.

Jas has experience working with clients in both the clinical and hospital setting as she spent her time volunteering and getting to know different people. Her kind and caring nature allow her to build strong relationships with her client. Jas’s involvement and interest in sports growing up, led to her developing an interest in pursuing rehabilitation and sports injury.

Later in life, her work and strong relationship-building skills allowed Jas to work well in the aging community as well. Outside of work, Jas is an outstanding soccer player, coach, and enjoys hiking, biking, travelling, and cooking.

Jasdeep is fluent in Punjabi and able to understand and speak basic Hindi.


MichaelLam

Kinesiologist

Michael Lam

Michael graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelors's Degree in Kinesiology and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. He also has a Diploma in Sports Science.

Michael has a passion for helping others return to their pre-injury lifestyle. Michael is experienced in rehabilitating clients with motor vehicle accident sustained injuries. He also has experience with Gradual Return to Work Program and Personal Training. Outside of work, he enjoys participating in many different sports, playing video games, and travelling.

Michael is fluent in Cantonese and also able to speak Mandarin.
